BX FM Radios (“BX FM Radios”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, processed, stored, and shared when you use the BX FM Radios Android application.

By installing or using BX FM Radios, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

BX FM Radios does not require users to create an account to use the main radio-streaming features.

Depending on your use of the application and the third-party services integrated into it, technical and usage information may be processed.

This may include:

  • Approximate/general location information derived from network information
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Firebase application/installation identifiers
  • App interactions and usage information
  • Crash reports and diagnostic information
  • Device and operating-system information
  • Application version and configuration information
  • Information required to deliver notifications
  • Information required to provide advertising

Google Analytics for Firebase automatically collects certain events, app-instance information, advertising ID, and derives coarse location from masked IP information.

Google Mobile Ads SDK can collect IP address, product interactions, diagnostic information, and device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes.

3. Information You Provide

BX FM Radios does not require you to provide:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Home address
  • Account password
  • Contacts
  • Photos
  • Payment information

If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you voluntarily provide, including your email address and the contents of your message.

We use this information to respond to your request and provide support.

4. Information Stored on Your Device

Certain application settings may be stored locally on your device, including:

  • Favorite radio stations
  • Theme preference
  • Sleep Timer settings/state
  • Other application preferences

These settings are primarily used to provide the application’s functionality.

Clearing application data or uninstalling BX FM Radios may remove locally stored information.

5. Radio Streaming

BX FM Radios provides access to live internet radio streams.

When you play a radio station, your device connects to the relevant radio streaming server.

The streaming server may receive normal network information, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the audio stream.

Radio stations are operated by their respective providers. BX FM Radios does not control the privacy practices of individual streaming providers.

6. Radio Station Discovery

BX FM Radios may use third-party radio directories and APIs to discover and display radio station information.

This may include:

  • Station name
  • Station logo
  • Language
  • Country
  • Genre
  • Description
  • Streaming URL
  • Technical station information

Requests to these services may include normal technical network information required to communicate with the service.

7. Google AdMob

BX FM Radios uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

AdMob may process information such as:

  • IP address
  • Advertising ID
  • App interactions
  • Device/account identifiers
  • Diagnostic information
  • General/approximate location derived from network information

These data may be processed for purposes including:

  • Advertising
  • Advertising measurement
  • Analytics
  • Fraud prevention
  • Security
  • Ad personalization where applicable

Google’s current Mobile Ads SDK disclosure states that the SDK automatically collects and shares IP address, user interactions, diagnostic information, and device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes.

Advertising identifiers can be reset or deleted by users through Android settings.

8. Firebase Analytics

BX FM Radios uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how users interact with the application and to improve the application’s functionality and reliability.

Analytics may process:

  • App-instance identifiers
  • Advertising ID
  • App usage/events
  • Screen and session information
  • Device information
  • General location derived from masked IP information

Analytics may automatically log certain events and user properties.

We use analytics information to understand general application usage and improve the user experience.

9. Firebase Crashlytics

BX FM Radios uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes, errors, ANRs, and stability problems.

Crashlytics may process information including:

  • Crash reports
  • Stack traces
  • Device information
  • Operating system information
  • Application version
  • Application installation identifiers
  • Diagnostic information
  • Relevant application logs or breadcrumbs where enabled

Crashlytics automatically collects crash reports by default unless the developer configures another collection approach.

We use this information solely to help:

  • Identify crashes
  • Diagnose technical problems
  • Improve stability
  • Fix bugs
  • Improve application performance

We do not intentionally use Crashlytics to collect your name, phone number, contacts, or passwords.

10. Firebase Cloud Messaging

BX FM Radios uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to support application notifications.

FCM may process an application installation/messaging identifier and other technical information required to deliver messages to the appropriate application installation.

Notifications may be used for:

  • Application-related information
  • Feature announcements
  • Service notifications
  • Other relevant BX FM Radios communications

Notification availability depends on Android permissions, device settings, connectivity, and Google’s messaging infrastructure.

You can control notification permissions through Android settings.

11. Firebase Remote Config

BX FM Radios may use Firebase Remote Config to remotely manage selected non-sensitive application configuration.

For example, Remote Config may be used for:

  • Featured station configuration
  • Feature availability
  • Promotional messages
  • Application configuration
  • Service settings

Remote Config is not intended to store passwords, private keys, payment information, or other confidential information.

12. Notifications

BX FM Radios may request notification permission on Android versions that require runtime notification permission.

Notifications may include:

  • Media playback controls
  • Application notifications
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging notifications
  • Other relevant application information

Users can enable or disable notifications through Android settings.

13. Background Audio Playback

BX FM Radios uses Android media playback services to allow radio audio to continue when the application is minimized or the device screen is locked.

The application may display a media playback notification containing playback controls.

This functionality is used solely to provide the requested radio playback experience.

14. Approximate Location

BX FM Radios does not request precise GPS location permission for its radio functionality.

However, certain third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google Mobile Ads may derive or estimate general/approximate location from network information such as an IP address.

Google Analytics documentation states that it derives coarse location from masked IP addresses, while the Mobile Ads SDK may use IP addresses to estimate general location.

BX FM Radios does not use precise device location to provide radio streaming.

15. Data Security

Information transmitted by Google/Firebase services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard transport security such as TLS where supported by those services.

Google’s Analytics and Mobile Ads documentation states that data collected by their SDKs is encrypted in transit.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

16. Data Sharing

BX FM Radios does not sell personal information directly.

Information may be collected, processed, or shared with third-party service providers necessary to operate the application, including:

  • Google AdMob
  • Google Analytics for Firebase
  • Firebase Crashlytics
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging
  • Firebase Remote Config
  • Radio station directories
  • Radio streaming providers
  • Android/Google platform services

These third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.

17. Data Retention

BX FM Radios does not maintain a traditional user account database for normal application use.

Locally stored application settings remain on the device until they are removed, the application data is cleared, or the application is uninstalled.

Information processed by third-party services such as Google AdMob and Firebase may be retained according to their respective retention policies and configurations.

Email correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, resolve issues, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.

18. Data Deletion

BX FM Radios does not currently require user accounts, so there is no BX FM Radios account requiring deletion.

Users can remove locally stored application information by:

  1. Removing relevant information within the application where available;
  2. Clearing BX FM Radios application data through Android settings; or
  3. Uninstalling BX FM Radios.

We will review and process appropriate requests subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Important: third-party services such as Google may have their own deletion mechanisms and retention policies. Requests relating to information independently processed by those services may need to be handled according to their respective procedures.

Data Deletion Request: Users may request deletion of personal information processed by BX FM Radios by emailing hello@bxradios.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request – BX FM Radios.”

19. Children’s Privacy

BX FM Radios is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed toward children.

The application does not require children to create an account or directly submit personal information.

BX FM Radios may use third-party technologies and services including:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites.

22. Your Choices

You can control certain aspects of the application through BX FM Radios and Android settings.

You may:

  • Manage notification permissions
  • Reset or manage advertising identifiers through Android settings
  • Disable or manage notifications
  • Clear application data
  • Uninstall the application
  • Manage device privacy settings
  • Contact us with privacy questions or requests

Firebase provides mechanisms for developers to control certain Analytics data collection, including disabling Analytics collection where appropriate.

23. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our application, services, technology, or legal requirements change.
